Why Can't You Use Dove Soap After A Spray Tan?

If you do this, then some of the DHA will wash off immediately and make your sunless tanning look uneven or blotchy by removing what little color already exists on the surface of your skin.
To avoid this problem, refrain from using any kind of soap or body wash for about 12 hours after getting a spray tan if possible so that most of the DHA bonds properly to your natural amino acids instead of just washing away immediately. Of course, this isn't always practical since some people get spray tans right before important events like weddings or parties where they need to dress up right afterward. In these cases, stick with an unscented soap like Dove unscented bar soap or Dial unscented bar soap that doesn't contain any surfactants (cleansers).
What Not To Do After A Spray Tan?
If you aren't careful, the results can be more ridiculous than the real thing. Don't shower immediately. As soon as you've dried off after your spray tan, don't take a shower or bath within six to eight hours.
The best time is before bed because you'll want to keep yourself dry while sleeping so that it doesn't rub off. If you do need to clean up afterward, use mild soap and water and blot yourself dry with a soft towel so that excess moisture doesn't disrupt the color.
